We have been fortunate to travel to many places, but neither of us had ever been to Las Vegas - until now!

We started with a visit to the Top of the World restaurant at the Strat. What a great view of the city and the sphere.
The Vegas Strip did not disappoint, although we heard from locals that the Formula 1 race the next weekend has definitely made its mark on the city. We started at the southern end and headed north along the 4.2 mile stretch. The flower artwork and the fountain at the Bellagio were beautiful and entertaining highlights.
On Friday night we entered the dreamlike world of Cirque du Soleil and their Beatles Love extravaganza at the Mirage Hotel and Casino.
The sphere is an amazing attraction from the outside, and the intelligent robots, holograms, and immersive film inside are worth checking out. Hopefully they will continue to improve the "sphere experience" tour going forward.
On Saturday we enjoyed the reason we signed up for Vegas in the first place: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's Restless Leg Tour. They were hilarious as expected, and we got another taste of the strip as well.
We were, perhaps, most surprised by the fact that we had some gambling success. Maybe it was beginners luck; time will tell. We're happy with some modest wins at craps and blackjack. Plus, we had a good time! Thank you, Las Vegas!
