Our nephew has been encouraging us to go to Puerto Vallarta (or PV as we learned to call it) for years. We always seemed to have somewhere to go that was higher on the list. We finally made it in April 2024, and we have no idea what took us so long! For starters, you could stay an entire week -or month - and simply migrate from a sparkling pool to a cabana-dotted beach to a sun-filled terrace all day long.
We stayed right on the beachfront at the Villa Premiere, where every room has a beautiful ocean view and the friendly service is truly special. Many thanks to the pool concierge, Paul, and many other staff members for making our stay so memorable.
We spent every afternoon sipping tropical drinks from the swim-up bar, lounging by the pool, and dipping our toes into the Bay of Banderas (Bahía de Banderas).
Our private terrace, which included a table, hammock and Jacuzzi, offered a wonderful way to wake up to the waves with coffee in the morning. It also gave us a nice way close out the day, especially while listening to music from a nearby reception that followed one of the many weddings the resort holds at sunset.
We were looking for a slower pace for the week, and PV definitely delivered with pool, beach and terrace time.
